“Good wines start in the vineyard.” We truly believe in that saying, and a good vineyard starts with good vineyard management. We have set in motion a total vineyard revival. Our plan is to increase wine production and quality without over impacting the vineyard environment. We made a complete vineyard inventory along with a soil and nutrient analysis. This helped us spot and correct problem areas in our vineyard. We are working on corrective pruning and re-trellising certain sections of the vineyard. This will promote a more robust and healthier growth of the vine which translates into better wine. We have already replanted some less productive sections of the vineyard with newer clones that are better suited for Temecula Valley. Our plan included rerouting our irrigation system to water smaller sections of the vineyard, resulting in far less water usage. Our plan is to micromanage the irrigation to supply water where needed and at the correct amounts. This will help with grape quality and water conservation.
